Sustainability and environmental protection at the Hotel am Reiterkogel For our natural landscape

Our environment is our greatest asset. We draw the beauty of our mountains and forests, our local rivers and lakes from it and thus lay one of the most important foundations for our tourism industry.

During the renovation of our hotel in 2013, we invested in the building's energy efficiency. This includes insulation of the walls, roof, and basement ceiling, as well as triple-glazed windows and doors.

 

These measures were implemented with special insulation throughout the building’s masonry, roof, and basement ceiling. All doors and windows were replaced during the renovation and are triple-glazed.

 

Our hotel has been certified by the Ministry for a Livable Austria and Kommunalkredit Public Consulting for its climate-friendly contribution in the Glemmtal valley.

Energy Efficiency and Amenities

 

All rooms, lobbies, the restaurant, the bar area, and the wellness area have been equipped with durable LED lighting systems.

 

All suites and junior suites have the wall behind the bed clad in Swiss pine wood. The positive effect of Swiss pine on the heartbeat and thus the body's better ability to regenerate is well known.

Photovoltaic system at the hotel

 

From April 2022 to June 2023, we planned and implemented our photovoltaic system. It consists of 116 photovoltaic modules and two inverters, with an installed capacity of 44.66 kWp.

The estimated annual electricity generation is around 43 MWh. According to our calculations, this can avoid about 20,500 kg of COâ‚‚ emissions each year.

 

Our photovoltaic project is a clear commitment to sustainable energy production and aligns with our vision for a greener future.
