Sustainability and environmental protection at the Hotel am Reiterkogel For our natural landscape

Our environment is our greatest asset. We draw the beauty of our mountains and forests, our local rivers and lakes from it and thus lay one of the most important foundations for our tourism industry.

With this awareness in mind, we carefully considered the use of new building materials and electrical technologies during the renovation of our hotel in 2013, in order to contribute to the preservation of the natural landscape in the Glemmtal valley.

 

These measures were implemented with special insulation throughout the building’s masonry, roof, and basement ceiling. All doors and windows were replaced during the renovation and are triple-glazed.

 

Our hotel has been certified by the Ministry for a Livable Austria and Kommunalkredit Public Consulting for its climate-friendly contribution in the Glemmtal valley.

Our guests also appreciate our commitment to sustainability.

 

All rooms, foyers, the restaurant, bar area, and wellness area are equipped with long-lasting LED lighting systems.

 

All suites and junior suites feature stone pine wood paneling behind the beds. The positive effects of stone pine on heart rate and the body’s ability to regenerate are widely recognized.

Our hotel is committed to sustainability...

 

... and has taken a significant step in this direction with our photovoltaic project.

From April 2022 to June 2023, we worked intensively on planning and implementation.
The result speaks for itself: 116 photovoltaic panels and two inverters generate an impressive power output of 44.66 kWp. With an estimated annual energy production of 43 megawatt-hours, we actively contribute to reducing CO2 emissions, avoiding around 20,500 kilograms of CO2 each year.

Our photovoltaic project is a clear commitment to sustainable energy production and aligns with our vision for a green future.
