The environment is our most valuable possession. From it we draw the beauty of our mountains and forests, our local rivers and lakes, and thus lay the most important foundation stones for our tourism economy.

With this in mind, as we remodeled our hotel in 2013 we gave a lot of thought to using building materials and electrical technology that made a positive contribution to preservation of the natural landscapes in Glemmtal.

The measures we implemented included special insolation installed throughout our walls, ceilings and roof. During the renovation process, all of the doors and windows of our hotel were replaced and are now triple-glazed. All rooms, foyers, the restaurant, the bar area and wellness center were equipped with long-life LED lighting systems.

Our guests also appreciate the sustainability concept. The wall at the head of the beds in all of our suites and junior suites was wainscoted in pine. The positive effects of pine on heart rate, and thus the body’s improved ability to regenerate, are already well known.

Our hotel consistently focuses on sustainability and has taken a significant step in this direction with our photovoltaic project. From April 2022 to June 2023, we worked intensively on the planning and implementation. The result is impressive: 116 photovoltaic elements and two inverters generate an impressive output of 44.66 KWp. With an estimated annual electricity generation of 43 megawatt hours, we are actively contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions and thus avoiding around 20,500 kilograms of CO2 annually. Our photovoltaic project is a clear commitment to sustainable energy production and is in line with our vision for a green future.

We were certified by the Ministry for a livable Austria and Kommunal Kredit-Public Consulting for its climate relief in the Glemmtal.
